Monday’s Rainbow, Friday’s Post

It’s supposed to be a lovely sunny day in Seattle today.

But last Monday…not so much.

Just a little reminder that even on ugly days beautiful things abound.

I went Eastside Spinners last night. I had a great time with the little group of 5 (including me) that showed up at Crossroads. But we were definitely spinning in Public with a capital “P”. We had a number of people stand and watch. A few came up and asked what we were doing. And one brazen old guy walked right up to Shane’s fiber and started fingering it! I mean, HELLO! You just don’t go up to a stranger and start fingering their stuff, y’know! So there was a bit of awkwardness…but still it was overwhelmingly fun. And the best parts were the little kids who were fascinated by the whole thing. Exposing the youth to the underbelly of the fiber world. Good stuff.
