I finally found some time to spin!

This is 4oz of merino in colorway Europa from Space!Romantic on Etsy. It feels/looks like a light worsted weight. And if I EVER find my darn ruler, I’d check WPIs to confirm. (Somewhere…somewhere…SOMEWHERE in this house I have a ruler!)

Overall, I’m pleased with how it came together. I split the roving in half and then in half again length-wise. I then spun up the singles starting from different ends for each bobbin. This means I rarely have a color ply with the same color…which is usually what I like. When the grey plies with the yellow, it reads as green which is kind of cool. But I’m definitely ready to get away from black roving for a bit.

I’ll treat myself and finish up my BFL from Capistrano Fiber Arts. She has a phenomenal eye for color and it’s spinning up into a gorgeous single. One bobbin is done…one more to go.
