Clutch Redux (or “Who wants it?”)

Hrm…notice anything different here?

Look! They’re twins!

I was going to make a second clutch out of totally different fabric, but I looked at the leftovers from my first clutch and realized that the scraps were the perfect size for one more clutch. So, we have twins…almost identical. The second time around I changed out the button and used some fusible fleece for the interfacing. The fleece gives a much softer feel to the clutch and the button seems to match the fabric better…at least to me. I definitely love this as a quick and easy project. The fleece was MUCH easier to work with on this small scale and I think the Harmony fabric is a great blend of retro-hip and classic style.

But now I have two clutches in the same fabrics, and really…what the heck am I going to do with two of the same? So…I’m giving away the second one I made (the better one, trust me). I’d rather have it go to someone who will use it than just sit on my shelf. I could make this all complicated and ask you to answer random trivia or post some personal anecdote (I reserve the right to be very demanding if I send something off in the future) …but I’m all for simplicity today. Leave a comment in this post to be included in the drawing. You don’t have to say anything fancy or complimentary…a simple “gimme!” will do.

Here’s a peek inside the one that’s up for grabs:

For full disclosure this is by no means is this a work of art… The button is off center slightly and I could have turned the corners better. This is why I don’t want to things I make – we’re always our own worst critic, y’know? But it’s still cute and functional.

I’ll pick the winner on Sunday the 16th (a week away). Who knows, I may even toss in an extra goody (fabric or yarn depending on preference) for fun. And if no one enters, I’ll give it to my mom…she still oohs over anything I make (mom’s rock). Good luck!

It is really lovely! How sweet of you to part with it! I could think of a hundred uses for it…carrier for small embroidery projects…passport holder… party purse…holder of all random small things in my big purse…case for a moleskin ntbk. and pen for thought-provoking dayhikes…luxurious pouch for all my fancy teabags…and on and on…
BTW-I am happy to find your site. I wandered over from Craftster.
